  1. Purpose of the Website

The purpose of the site is to display written works for people to read.

It is free for anyone to sign up and publish original content that is their own or free to display to the public.

 

  1. Your Rights

Authors keep all your rights to their written works.

Our site is to our best knowledge secure and safe to use and all users shall retain copyright to all uploaded materials.

However, Bouncepen.com and Bouncepen Pty Ltd and all associated with its ownership and running shall not be responsible for any copyright infringement by third party entities as we can not guarantee the safety and security of your content.

 

  1. Uploading Content

Authors can upload content to the website to be viewed on the website.

Written works can either written directly via the site using our word editor or can be uploaded as a PDF file which is then converted to the website format.

Uploads can be read one page at a time and pages are turned either left or right.

 

  1. Selling Per Page or Listing for Free

Authors can charge readers to view their written works or they can list them for free.

There are a number listing options available.

Written works uploaded as a PDF file can either be listed as free or can be listed as a price per page.

This means that each page can be listed as a set price per page and is charged to the reader each time the reader turns a new page. No page is paid for twice once already paid for.

For example, an author can list a written work as 5 cents per page. The reader reads page 1 and 2. That reader can read pages 1 and 2 as many times as they like and will not be charged.

 

  1. Using the website word editor.

Written works written directly through the website can be scrolled down vertically.

Written works written directly via the editor can be listed for a set price only, meaning that the user pays a set price and can then read that written work in its entirety.

 

  1. Holding an Account Balance

Members of the site can hold an account balance with the website by placing money on their account.

When members place money on their account they pay a 12% fee along with the PayPal fee on top of the amount they wish to place on their account

 

  1. Withdrawal Requests

As a user you may ask to withdraw your funds at any time using the withdrawal request option.

Please note that the deposit of funds is done via PayPal and that this process is a manual one which means that it will take time and is not instantaneous.

Withdraw requests will be checked daily and if you feel that your request is not being handled quick enough please e-mail admin@bouncepen.com stating the e-mail that you have used to sign up to the website or the name that you have used if you have signed up via Facebook or twitter.

 

  1. Bouncepen’s Rights

Bouncepen has the right to take down any content, profile or any profile’s contents from displaying on the website at any time if that content is inappropriate or illegal in nature. Such decisions are made according to the discretion of Bouncepen.

Bouncepen shall not resell your content directly for a profit but it shall use your name, book covers, profile images and text to promote the website.

All uploaded content shall stay on Bouncepen even after it has been deleted but it shall not with any known intention be resold by Bouncepen.com, Bouncepen Pty Ltd and all associated with its ownership and running.

However Bouncepen.com and Bouncepen Pty Ltd and all associated with its ownership and running shall not be responsible for any copyright infringement by third party entities as we can not guarantee the safety and security of your content.

  1. Covers

All content should have a cover and not be left blank.

Covers should have in the least a title and an artwork of some description.

If a cover to a written work is not suitable or to our liking, we have the right to take to take your content down. We may send you an email asking you to update your contents cover before doing but if their no response we will take it down.

 

  1. Subscriptions

Subscription is also another method for selling written works.

When listing a written work, you may choose subscription instead of per page or free. This means that those written works under subscription will be available to view to those who have purchased your individual subscription.

Subscriptions can be purchased via member’s profile pages.
